How to Rig It

Fish alone on a stout leader, often with a floating or intermediate line depending on current speed.

Cast tight to the bank and strip with a steady waking V. Pause only occasionally.

Large trout eat rodents because they are calorie-dense. The wake and silhouette of a good mouse pattern can pull truly predatory fish from cover.
